A: Here is the CDC’s recommended use and reuse. I have talked with multiple medical professionals over the last few days and they are actually doing something similar to this but they are looking at putting their filtration masks in a “rotation of 3-5 days apart” but using different sterilization procedures to ensure the filters are clean. The outer soft mask (carrier) is washable and should be cleaned as often as possible.
A: Legally we have to say 8 hours on wear in a contaminated environment and discard after coming into contact with an infected patient/person. Check the CDC’s website for updates.

We recognize this is an unsettling time, as the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is rapidly evolving around the globe and the situation has been incredibly volatile. As for our own operations, we are implementing broader and more thorough cleaning and sanitation practices in our facilities and for all incoming and outgoing packages. We are restricting non-essential business travel and have ceased travel temporarily to high-risk countries. We are encouraging video or telephonic meetings with our customer base. We are ensuring our key suppliers have contingency plans in place. We have developed our own contingency plans to continue to be able to produce products and fulfill orders without delay’s.
While none of us knows what lies ahead, we at TYR Tactical are confident in our contingency plans, the actions we are taking, and the leadership of our preparedness efforts. We will do all we can to keep you, our customers, informed of any expected delays in delivery or changes to our current operations.
We will continue to evaluate the COVID-19 situation and take guidance from public health authorities.
